About Me

Hi! My name is Tara and in between my day job as a program manager at a large tech company I spend my free time seeking out new places to visit and new things to try. I started this blog to document my traveling adventures (and occasional musings) mainly for myself, my friends and anyone else who might stumble across it. My favorite places to travel are usually somewhere near the ocean. So expect to see lots of beach trips posted! I’m always looking for my next trip and whatever fun times, good food, and great people come my way. Life is about the journey and I hope mine is filled with endless discoveries and unlimited possibilities.

Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida. I have 2 younger sisters (both in FL), 2 cats (ugh), no kids, and a wonderful SO who is my occasional travel compantion. I am an alumnae of both Florida State University (biochemsitry) and the University of Florida (Materials Science & Engineering). For the time being I am temporary transplant to the desert southwest, trying to survive the heat, scorpions, and monster dust storms. I am a former chemist, occasional engineer, admitted science geek, avid reader, newbie swim student, chef in-my-head and a proud member of the Gator Nation, Go Gators!!

I love traveling (of course), cheesy sci-fi movies, cooking shows, all things James Cameron, Halloween, college football, pizza, and pink Nikes.
